National Endowment for the Humanities Award

The Art Department is delighted to be awarded a magnificent gift from the National Endowment for the Humanities, entitled “Picturing America.”

This award includes forty poster size images of famous American paintings and sculptures, plus a teachers’ resource book.

“America’s History Through Our Nation’s Art” is a project conducted in cooperation with the American Library Association.

Look for a poster on display in our lobby. Teachers and students can benefit from this wonderful intersection of history and art.
