Assistant Director of Enrollment Management
The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management partners with the Director of Enrollment Management, Advancement Office, and Division Directors to support the development and execution of a strategic enrollment plan that attracts, enrolls, and retains a vibrant and mission-aligned student body. This role is highly relational, detail-oriented, and visible within the life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions, Retention, and Family Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective families, responding to inquiries and providing timely, thoughtful follow-up.
- Articulate and advance the school’s enrollment priorities, philosophy, and value proposition.
- Conduct interviews with applicants and families and maintain ongoing communication throughout the admissions process.
- Review admissions files and supporting materials; participate in admissions committee discussions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Management and the Advancement Office to plan and execute a seamless re-enrollment process.
Events, Visits, & Community Presence
- Coordinate and support campus tours, student visit days, and admissions events.
- Collaborate with the Advancement Office to plan and execute admissions and retention events, both on and off campus.
- Represent the school at fairs, regional gatherings, recruitment events, and required professional development.
- Support a dynamic, relationship-centered student ambassador program.
- Maintain a consistent presence at major school events, including evening admissions events, concerts, and key school programs.
Operations, Systems, & Data
- Coordinate the admissions calendar in collaboration with the Director of Enrollment Management.
- Maintain accurate admissions and enrollment data; assist with reports and updates for senior leadership as directed.
- Work closely with the Director of Enrollment Management and division directors to track attrition indicators and implement responsive retention strategies.
- Learn and effectively use admissions and data systems, including Blackbaud OnBoard, Clarity, and Google Workspace tools.
- Assist with admissions mailings, acceptance materials, and enrollment communications.
- Manage admissions office inventory and ordering.
Collaboration & Professional Practice
- Work closely with colleagues across divisions to support enrollment, retention, and community engagement.
- Exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion in all communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management or Head of School.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, education, or a related field; independent school experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse constituencies.
- A warm, energetic, and visible presence in the school community, with a sense of humor and commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak admissions seasons.
- Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment.

Early Childhood Lead Teacher

Classroom Support Personnel
Washington Episcopal School (WES) seeks a full-time Classroom Support Personnel to join our community for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is essential to the daily life of the school and provides direct support to students and teachers across grade levels.
Position Overview:
Classroom Support Personnel serve as a flexible, student-centered presence on campus. They support classroom instruction, step in as a substitute teacher when needed, and supervise students during lunch and recess. This role requires strong communication, adaptability, and a genuine joy for working with children.
Key Responsibilities:

Extended Day Staff
Washington Episcopal School (WES) is seeking personnel with experience with children in a camp counselor, substitute teacher, or day care role to help in their Extended Day Program. Successful candidates should have a high school/GED diploma, and preferably, some college.
The Extended Day program serves students in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Grade 8 from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. every day except Friday when the student hours are 2:30 – 6:00 p.m. The mission of the program is to provide a safe environment in which students in Nursery through Grade 8 spend time outside on the playground, enjoy snacks and activities, and work on school assignments.
