Joyful Learning from PK3 to Grade 8

WES prepares students for success in their next academic steps while nurturing confident, well-rounded young people who lead with kindness, curiosity, and a sense of purpose. True to our vision, WES students stride confidently into the world, delight in it, and contribute to it.

What Makes a WES Education Exceptional?

Being Known

WES classes are small (average 16) so that every student is a top priority. Our grade levels and full community are close-knit by design. At WES, children feel connected to caring teachers who understand how they learn and connected to each other.

Learning with Joy

WES classrooms are dynamic, active places where students learn by doing. We are serious about preparing our students for rigorous high schools, and we know that the best students learn with joy and build confidence from a combination of nurturing care and being nudged to extend themselves.

Growing Up Gently

Our PK-Middle School model is wonderful for all our students. Older children are taught to be mentors and friends to our youngest, modeling kindness and generosity as they learn leadership. Thoughtful individualized counseling guides families to enroll students in high schools that are just right for them.

Living with Values

As an Episcopal school, WES continually stresses a set of universal values that include kindness, compassion, and service to the community. In addition to participation in weekly chapel, our students engage in service projects for those in need and are challenged to develop as people who are defined by warmth and generosity.
