Athletics
More Than the Score
At WES, athletics and physical education are about more than just exercise. Through a combination of movement, play, teamwork, and opportunities for healthy competition, our students discover newfound confidence in their abilities and develop a strong foundation for lifelong fitness.
Starting in Grade 5, students choose between interscholastic sports teams (soccer, cross country, basketball, track, and lacrosse) and continuing in our Physical Education program. Whether on the field or in the gym, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, support their teammates, and grow through joyful movement.
Our students enjoy the use of top-tier facilities, including a turf field, grass field, two gymnasiums, an indoor rock climbing wall, movement room, sports court, fitness room, and two playgrounds.
Our Athletics Philosophy
WES Athletics is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where student can develop their athletic abilities while learning what it looks like to put the values of sportsmanship, respect, and kindness into action. Our dedicated coaches empower our student athletes to become confident leaders and enthusiastic team players both on and off the field.
