This fall was another successful season for Dragons on cross-country courses and soccer fields. The cross-country teams, led by eighth-graders Harrison and Sabina, had strong showings in all of their meets and were able to take home a combined five victories. The girls and boys teams both pulled off impressive wins in the Bullis School meet and in the inaugural WES meet. The girls team pulled off another victory at the Norwood Invitational where the boys placed a solid third.
On the soccer field the WES teams also fared well. The girls 5/6 team worked tirelessly all season and showed great progress and resiliency. It was a season of close calls for them, but they played with great heart and ended the season with a well-deserved victory.
The boys 5/6 team, led by a strong group of sixth-graders, got out of the gate quickly and never looked back. They accumulated nine wins along their way and had an undefeated season. The 7/8 boys and girls teams also enjoyed successful posting records of 6-2 and 6-3 respectively. Both teams finished the season at the St. Andrews Tournament placing second, coming up one goal short in the final.
Congratulations to all of our student athletes on an impressive fall season!
