Join us for “When the World Comes to School”, a special parent presentation by Caroline Blackwell. WES is privileged to have NAIS Vice President for Equity and Justice Caroline Blackwell at WES to lead two special presentations. One presentation will be for WES parents and guardians and the other will be for the WES faculty and staff.
As guardians and teachers we try to create pristine environments for children to learn and grow in but outside forces like media and politics inevitably come into the home and school. Ms. Blackwell will share frameworks to help us facilitate these difficult types of conversations with our children. The goal is for both parents and teachers to use the same handbook of strategies and techniques.
Prior to joining NAIS, Caroline served as the executive director of the Metro Human Relations Commission in Nashville, Tennessee. Before that, she worked as director of multicultural affairs for the University School of Nashville. Caroline holds numerous certifications in mediation, conflict resolution, and facilitation.
Please join us for this valuable presentation. No RSVP required and refreshments will be served.
