This annual competition gives students license to explore history through the lens of a provided theme. This year's theme was "Conflict and Compromise." Three WES Grade 8 students competed in a state-wide competition on April 28 at UMBC.
The girls' project on the Treaty of Versailles won the Montgomery County District Competition outright. State results have just come in, and while they did not place in the top two, they completed a masterful project that deserves all the accolades they received.
