WES Holiday Book Fair 2018
Posted 11/20/2018 04:08PM

The annual WES Book Fair will be held this year from Wed. Dec. 5 through Sat. Dec. 8. The Book Fair is a great opportunity to volunteer and do some holiday shopping. Choose from a wide selection of high-quality, award-winning, and popular books. We also carry a large collection of educational games and activities. A portion of every purchase you make stays at WES and supports enrichment of the Library's print and electronic resources.

Visiting Author Ellen Oh: A wonderful part of the WES Book Fair is a special guest author that hosts a presentation for WES students about his or her work and the process behind it. This year we are honored to have Ellen Oh who is the author of the Texas Bluebonnet Award nominated middle-grade novel Spirit Hunters and its sequel, The Island of Monsters, as well as the highly-acclaimed young-adult Prophecy trilogy (Prophecy, Warrior, and King). She is also the co-founder of We Need Diverse Books, the ground-breaking, grassroots non-profit organization.

Save the Date for this special parent presentation on Thursday Dec. 6, 8-9 a.m. with Ellen Oh—Once Upon a Time: Why Diverse Books Benefit Everyone

Santa Visit: On Saturday, Dec. 8, Mr. Pané will read a holiday classic, and Santa will visit the Book Fair! All students are invited to visit with Santa and enjoy holiday treats.
