Summer@WES PK4 & Kindergarten Camps

Summer@WES offers PK4 and Kindergarten Day Camps in Bethesda, MD. Learn more about our Jr. Dragon Day Camp!

This camp gives kids the opportunity to make friends, learn new skills, have fun, and get exercise. For experienced preschoolers, it also helps keep school routines in tack. For new preschoolers, it helps prepare them for the first day of school in a friendly, relaxed, and welcoming environment.

Campers must be at least four years old by the first day of the week of camp they attend and must be potty-trained.

Camp Offerings- Jr. Dragon Day Camp

Dates: Weeks 1-6 (June 20 – July 28)

Ages: Rising PK4 – Kindergarten

Cost: $495 per week (Closed June 20 & July 5)

Junior Dragon Day Camp is designed for children entering PK4 and Kindergarten as an active and educational summer camp experience. With six different themes, campers can experience a brand new camp each week!

Each week we will spend our time in classrooms, our fully-equipped playground, our air-conditioned gymnasium as well as our sun-filled Arts Center.

Week 4: Mad Scientists

Summer@WES Rising Grades 1-2 Camps

Summer@WES offers Dragon Quest Camp for rising 1st-2nd Graders in Bethesda, MD. Learn more about our Dragon Quest Camp!

Dragon Quest Camp

Dates: Weeks 1-6 (June 20 – July 28)

Ages: Rising Grades 1-2

Cost: $495 per week (Closed June 19 & July 4)

Dragon Quest Camp is an exciting and engaging camp experience designed for children entering Grades 1-2.

Each morning and afternoon campers choose among a variety of activities like art, archery, coding, cooking, STEM, sports, and swimming! Every day will bring fresh, new, and exciting choices of activities for campers to pick from. This makes for thrilling days as campers have a say in their experience. On any given day, options may include, sports, technology, science, art, cooking, robotics, dance, games, music, and much more! Campers will build friendships as they immerse themselves in this diverse program.

Summer@WES Rising Grades 3-8 Camps

Summer@WES offers camps for Rising 3rd through 8th Graders in Bethesda, MD, at Washington Episcopal School.

Choose Your Own Adventure Camp (Rising Grades 3-7)

Dates: Weeks 1-6 (June 20-July 28)

Ages: Rising Grades 3-8

Cost: $495 per week (Closed June 19 & July 4)

Choose our most popular summer camp!

Campers choose their activities based upon their own interests, and those interests can change week-by-week. Our wide variety of activities allows campers to try many different options throughout the summer, giving them a well-rounded summer camp experience.

Select two activities, one for the morning and one for the afternoon, for each week your child attends camp. Once you register, you are confirmed for the class. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment, we will notify families by early May and assist you with finding an alternative activity.

Sleep Away Camp @ Camp Tall Timbers (Rising Grades 3-8)

Dates: Bonus Week! (June 12-16)

Ages: Rising Grades 3-8

Cost: $1,295 per week (overnight camp)

This fantastic adventure, run by our dedicated WES teachers, is located in the mountains of High View, West Virginia, and boasts endless facilities that give campers an authentic sleepaway camp experience. Days are spent enjoying the fresh mountain air with activities such as canoeing, fishing, archery, swimming, and paddleboarding. Campers also have opportunities to play soccer, street hockey, tennis, basketball, and more. The highlight of the week is the trip to Cacapon State Park to spend the day frolicking on the beach, riding horses, and indulging in an incredible cookout!

Outdoor Adventure Camp (Rising Grades 4-7)

Dates: Weeks 1,3 & 5 (June 20 – 23, July 3-7, or July 17-21)

Ages: Rising Grades 4-7

Cost: $595 per week (Closed June 19 & July 4)

Put some awesome in your summer as you join us for a non-stop, weeklong adventure that may include things such as a day in the treetops rope-coursing, water-tubing in Harpers Ferry, and cooling-off in the water park. The ability to swim and a love of the outdoors is required. Space is limited in this outdoor summer camp, so sign-up today!

DMV Excursions (Rising Grades 4-7)

Dates: Weeks 2 & 6 (June 26-30 and July 24-28)

Ages: Rising Grades 4-7

Cost: $595 per week

The weeklong urban adventures camp includes day trips to Washington, DC area landmarks, Sky Zone, Spy Museum, and the ever-popular Escape Room. Join us, and you are sure to have more fun than you could ever imagine!

Summer@WES offers camps for Rising 7th-8th Graders in Bethesda, MD. Learn more about our camps below.

Counselor in Training (CIT) Program

Dates: Weeks 1-6 (June 20-July 28)

Ages: Rising Grades 7-8

Cost: $495 per week

Summer@WES offers a Counselor-in-Training Program, which is a wonderful opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills and gain work experience in a rewarding field with younger students. CITs work closely with our campers, teachers, and administration and take on leadership roles within camp operations. Learn to be a leader with Summer at WES!

CIT responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with camper arrival and dismissal
  • Participation in team building and leadership training activities
  • Role playing to gain confidence in working with children
  • Shadowing experienced counselors in various camper age groups

CIT will receive:

  • Campers can receive 15 SSL hours per week

You’ll work closely with Mr. Mehdi Elkassem, our CIT Coordinator. He will plan activities, assign camper groups, observe interactions with campers, and conduct one-on-one evaluation meetings to offer suggestions and answer questions about their experiences.
