The WES Development Office is a beehive of activity, 12 months of the year. The capstones of our mission are the Annual Fund Campaign in the fall and the Auction Gala in early spring, each one raising funds that are critical to the WES mission each year. In addition, the team fosters community in many ways:

• Coordinating community events such as the Welcome Back Party and the Auction Gala
• Fostering relationships with WES alumni and past faculty through reunions and virtual outreach
• Fostering relationships with our wonderful WES grandparents, including coordinating our Grandparents & Special Friends Day
• Working closely with the Parents Association
• Publishing our annual report on philanthropy

Bronwyn brings years of experience as a WES volunteer to her role of Director of Development.  A WES parent since 2017, she has two sons in Grade 5 and 7 and has served as a class parent, parent ambassador, auction committee volunteer, and she also co-chaired the 2022 auction, Under the Tuscan Sun. We’ve seen her artistic talent come to life as she created colorful sets for a Kindergarten play and gigantic tornado for the Oz-themed Auction, to name a few recent projects. Previously, Bronwyn served as Director of Development for St. Columba’s Episcopal Church, and Director of Advancement for St. Columba’s Nursery School.

Ali joined the WES staff in 2007, is a proud parent of two WES graduates (2009 and 2010) and held volunteer leadership positions at WES, including twice co-chairing the Auction Gala, providing marketing and promotion of the Book Fair, serving as PA Rep, and organizing school-wide events. You can find this St. George’s Society member at nearly every WES event and visiting classrooms, camera in hand, capturing students as they work and play each day. She also coordinates class notes for our Alumni.

Together, the team’s creativity and experience intersect to guide the WES community in its community building as well as fundraising.
