We offer Extended Day and our After School Enrichment Program to provide a supportive and engaging environment for students beyond regular school hours. These programs cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students, offering a range of activities that promote academic, social, and emotional growth. Extended Day ensures a safe, supervised space where students can complete homework, participate in structured play, and enjoy recreational activities. Meanwhile, our Enrichment Program offers specialized classes and activities, allowing students to explore new interests and develop skills in areas such as arts, sports, and STEM. These offerings help accommodate the schedules of busy families while enriching our students’ educational experiences.
Extended Day (from dismissal until 6 p.m.) and Before Care (from 7:45 a.m.) are open to all WES students and designed to meet the childcare needs of WES families in a safe and nurturing environment. Students study, relax, sing, create, and play during this time. Our Extended Day program is available after school every day: from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Fridays from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
Families will choose which days of the week and which hours of the day they will need care. Because WES offers other programs after school, this flexibility enables our families to purchase only the childcare that they need. Families will also sign up for Extended Day on a trimester basis, offering even further flexibility.
Our days and hours have been selected to align with our sports schedule and our After-School Enrichment Program.
Our popular After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP) offers activities for students in PK3-Grade 5 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Friday. (Middle School students have a variety of after-school clubs they can sign-up for throughout the year.)
ASEP activities range from clubs to study hall, musical rehearsals, cooking, art, STEM, and sports. Offerings are age-dependent for students in PK3-Grade 5. There are three sessions per school year, and each session has different offerings. Some are covered by tuition, and some are fee-based.
