I am thrilled to welcome you to the busy, joy-filled and nurturing Elementary division at WES. Building on the firm foundations of the Early Childhood years, we strive to meet every child where they are and inspire them to be thinkers, explorers, investigators, creators, and collaborators to develop the skills and central knowledge for life-long learning.
The Elementary grades are a time of so much exciting growth and development both academically and socially. Students are challenged within a broad, rigorous curriculum as they develop the confidence to try new things and take academic risks. Over time, our students develop resilience, flexibility, and a growth mindset. They are encouraged to reflect on their learning, set goals for themselves, and strive to be the best they can be. At the heart of the Elementary division, teachers and students thrive in a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect, where diversity is celebrated and relationships are cherished. It is a wonderful place to grow and learn.
