You can hear students singing the school song after each assembly, but don’t be surprised if an impromptu rendition of it breaks out during any gathering. From the first day of school, when eighth-graders ring the school bell to mark the beginning of the school year, to our Founders Day picnic for WES students, families, new WES families, and alums, at the close of the school year, WES traditions bring our community closer together.
During Spirit Days and especially on Field Day, a day set aside for friendly competition in late spring, chants of “Go Blue!” and “Go Gold!” from our blue and gold spirit teams are heard loudly and clearly. Our school colors are also featured in the banners in the school Lobby, along with a huge four-color crest that was designed by a WES student in 1986, the year of our founding.
