Dear Friends of Washington Episcopal School,
It is with great excitement that I share the vision for the future of our beloved school. For over 38 years, WES has been a place where children are nurtured, challenged, and inspired. Every day, I witness firsthand the joy, curiosity, and determination that our students bring to their learning. It is this spirit that motivates us to continuously evolve and ensure that we provide the very best environment for them to grow.
The capital improvements we are embarking on—whether it’s the new multipurpose community center, the redesigned entrance, or the classroom enhancements—are not simply about buildings. They are about creating spaces where our children can thrive.
Imagine the excitement of students gathering in a beautiful, light-filled community space, where they can share meals, connect with friends, and celebrate their achievements. Picture them in a new art room, where easy access to the outdoors sparks their imagination and fuels their creativity. Envision classrooms filled with natural light, where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
These are more than just upgrades; they are investments in the emotional, intellectual, and social well-being of our children. In designing these spaces, we are creating environments that honor the whole child, recognizing that their learning is enriched when they feel a sense of belonging and connection.
This project is not about where we are now—it’s about where we’re going. It’s about ensuring that every child at WES has the space and resources to dream big, to explore, and to grow in a community that supports them every step of the way.
I invite you to join us on this journey. Together, we can build the foundation that will serve generations of WES students—children who will go on to contribute to the world with confidence, compassion, and joy.
With gratitude and hope,
Danny Vogelman,
Head of School
