From the PA President

Dear Parents,

The Parents Association (PA) warmly welcomes you to Washington Episcopal School (WES)! We strive to build and support our community by planning events, activities, and educational series that bring us together and also model our school’s values and commitment to service and volunteerism. We look forward to getting to know you and your family and hope you will share your time and talents with us! The PA coordinates more than 12 committees including: Room Parents, Ledo Pizza Nights, The Father’s Club, Faculty/Staff Snack Days, BINGO Night, Book Fair, WES Fitness Club, Parents Council of Washington (PCW), Used Uniform sales, Founders Day Picnic, and Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon.

Important school dates and many details are listed on the calendar on the WES website. Please mark your calendars early as you will not want to miss out on any of these activities. We welcome your ideas and suggestions and eagerly await your participation. Feel free to email any of us with your questions or concerns.

The weekly online NeWES and class Room Parents are your direct link to the Parents Association. The Parents Portal has information about all of our events and activities. Regular Parent Association updates and fliers are sent via email or will be included in your child’s Thursday folders.

There are a number of great ways for you to become involved, whether you have 30 minutes to spare at one event, time during the evenings to send out an email or two, or a couple of hours a month to volunteer, parent participation is a wonderful way to model leadership and foster a love of giving back to the community for our children.

We look forward to meeting you in person!
