We will have staggered arrival and dismissal times to ensure all students arrive in school safely and enable appropriate physical distancing and screening. Parents with multiple children will be able to drop off all their children at one time.
For the 2020-2021 school year, we are requesting that parents refrain from carpooling with other families. If this is a concern for your family, please contact Ann Freniere, email@example.com.
The flow of traffic through the building has been altered to maximize physical distancing. Signage around the building will reinforce these traffic patterns, and your child will also receive more information about this during Orientation.
Many common touch surfaces will be removed or modified:
Our gym locker rooms will remain closed until further notice, as we believe it would be difficult for the children to practice physical distancing in these spaces. Consequently, children should come to school in shoes and clothing that is appropriate for recess and PE.
Due to our revised locker room policy, we are expanding our uniform options for the 2020-2021 school year and encouraging WES spirit and PE wear for Grades 1-8. Children may also wear their “daily wear” uniform, if they prefer. In a few weeks, you will receive a link to purchase new spirit wear and PE items. Gently used uniforms, spirit wear, and PE attire will also be available at the Used Uniform Sale the week of August 24. There will be no need for dress uniform during the first semester of school. You can learn more about our uniform requirements here.
