What is your favorite thing about being part of the WES community?
I came to WES at the recommendation of a current WES parent who described it as a warm and welcoming community. After experiencing the community first-hand, I can confirm that the description is 100% true.

What has been the highlight of your experience at WES?
The highlight of my experience at WES has been the pandemic school year. As hard as it has been for everyone, WES came together and created a safe, responsible, and joyful environment for its students, teachers, and faculty. Knowing how WES rose to the challenges during this time, I am excited to see and be part of the innovative ideas WES will implement in the future.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts (go Red Sox!), received my B.A. from George Washington University, received my MSW from The University of Maryland, and decided that Maryland was a good place to settle. I have spent the majority of my career working with children and their families in clinical and educational settings and truly feel at home in a school building. I love the energy, creativity, and rhythm that a school creates. Most importantly, I love creating relationships with the children, parents, faculty, and staff and having the opportunity to deepen those connections over time. When I am not working, I enjoy being outside, walking, cooking, spending time with my husband, and trying to stay one step ahead of my three young adult children.
