Maureen Kellerman

Middle School Math Teacher

At WES Since: 2019

What motivated you to become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I could never do the same thing day after day. Each day brings on a new lesson, new activity, and new set of questions to explore. I strive to make every student successful and confident in the material we are covering in their class. Math can be a fun and productive challenge when given the right tools and presented in the right way.

Bio:
I grew up outside Philly, attending Phillies baseball games and rooting for Penn State and the Eagles on fall weekends. Later I attended Penn State and once I graduated, I relocated to Maryland. I obtained my master’s degree from the University of Maryland in middle school math education so I could transition from teaching in an elementary school to teaching middle school for Montgomery Country Public Schools. After 14 years, I wanted a change and I joined the fantastic WES team!
